About Bobby Vanwinkle, Sr. and Tseyi Jeep Tours

Authorized Navajo Tour Guide Bobby Vanwinkle, Sr. grew up in Canyon de Chelly near Spider Rock.  With over 20 years of tour experience, Bobby has taken thousands of visitors into the Canyon, sharing his heritage, his stories and even in his hogan at Spider Rock.  Bobby will tailor your tour to your own interests and will work with you to make the most of your time in the canyon.  On your tour, Bobby will introduce you to the beauty of the canyon, as well as Navajo culture, stories and legends.

Bobby will explain the the history of the Canyon, show you the ancient dwellings, pictographs and petroglyphs of the Anasazi and will help you to learn more about the culture and daily life of the Navajos who live in the Canyon today.  Even though Bobby is a lifelong resident, he is still adding to his knowledge of the Canyon.    Even if you have been in the canyon before, Bobby can probably show you something that you’ve never seen!

Tseyi Jeep Tours is owned by Bobby and his family.  Although Bobby does the majority of the tours, he may bring in another authorized guide to assist with larger groups.  His goal is further your appreciation for Canyon and for its place in the legacy that we share as five fingered beings.  Bobby hopes that you’ll leave with a lasting memory of the beauty of the Canyon and that you will, as the Navajo say, always walk in beauty.
