Canyon de Chelly Tours
Except for limited areas, visitors to Canyon de Chelly may only enter the Canyon with an authorized guide. Canyon de Chelly tours with Bobby Vanwinkle, Sr. offer you the opportunity to tour with a guide born and raised in the Canyon.
The Three Hour Tour
Marvel at the beauty of sights such as ancient dwellings, petroglyphs, Junction Ruins, White House Ruin and Running Antelope Monument. We’ll have 15-minute stops at both the White House and Antelope House. There, you can meet local artisans who create jewelry, paintings, and other art unique to the Canyon. Many of them accept major credit cards. Don’t worry, despite its name, there is no need to pack all your belongings, we’ve never lost a tour group on a desert isle or anywhere else for that matter! Price $200-350 for 1-6 people, contact Bobby for pricing on larger groups. We can add vehicles and drivers to accommodate you.
The Five Hour Tour
The five-hour tour includes all of the sights in the three-hour tour, as well as a trip to Mummy Cave’s ancient dwelling or magnificent Spider Rock. The journey to Spider Rock will allow you to see an authentic Navajo hogan. The Mummy Cave option includes the Navajo Fortress Rock, the Standing Cow Mural, and the Spanish Mural. Price $340-490 for 1-6 people; contact Bobby regarding larger groups.
Other Options
While the three and five-hour tours are our most popular offerings, we will gladly discuss full-day tours, hiking, or camping. You can extend any tour for $50 per hour per vehicle. In the winter season, we have a hogan at Spider Rock that is available for rental. We can also tailor an experience to the interests of photographers, artists, and scientists. We’ll be glad to discuss the possibilities.
